OBAMACARE FAMILY INCOME

OBAMACARE ACA EXCHANGES FAMILY INCOME
OBAMACARE COSTS ARE BASED ON YOUR INCOME
PLUS  YOUR DEPENDENTS INCOME

Obamacare or Marketplace Health Insurance (Exchange) costs are based on your income plus the income of your dependents (for tax purposes). If a dependent has income besides you and are required to file an income tax return, their income is counted. If you are married, you must file a joint return and both your incomes are considered.

If one of your dependents does not need health insurance because they have health insurance elsewhere, where they work, Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, VA, or other health insurance and they are your dependent for tax purposes, their income is counted.

Marketplace income includes everyone’s income in the household, who is a dependent even if they have already have health insurance. If someone in your family has or can get affordable health insurance, their income is included and that person cannot be included in the Marketplace Health Insurance policy. In all cases, to order for help with costs, you or your household must have at least 100% and no more than 400% of guidelines (1 to 4 times guidelines).

The maxiumum premium support available is at the cost of the second lowest Silver plan in the Marketplace. If you select a plan that costs less than the second lowest cost Silver plan, your support is equal to the lower amount.
